My mother is currently here for rehabilitation therapy and she is doing really well. It is difficult for me to give a full report about everything because of the COVID19 Pandemic. Caring Heart is taking good care of my 89 years young mom. I want to give an special thanks to Ms.Iyesha in the activities department. She deserves the 5 star for her work in helping my family do a video chat with our mom. We had many obstacles that got in the way but she was very patient and professional.

However, this place had a clear smell of urine. I did see my family member's room and it seemed to be dark. I didn't see anything in the room that was stimulating.
I grew up in the neighborhood and am familiar with the facility. The nursing home was always there but the rehab facility was new to me. The rooms were neat and clean with the beds made. My family member said the food was delicious which is always a good thing.

However, the workers kept checking on their patients and encouraging them to keep going with the assigned exercises. I heard the workers explaining in detail why the exercises were necessary. That said, other workers were helpful when we lost our way.
I was able to observe the rehab process with my family member as well as others in the rehab room. Clearly, if the patient wants to do the work, they will do it repeatedly and consistently even when the worker is not looking. There were many who chose not to do much when no one was looking.

It maybe because that she was in that part of the facility that was for people who cannot get up or get around. The staff seemed to be very kind; however they seemed to be all congregated in the back and not interacting with their patients. It seemed that they were extremely cognizant that their patients have dementia and that some of them may be unresponsive. However, I still feel that there should be more interaction between patients and staff.
